Jawaharlal Nehru Biography :-

He is the creator of modern India. He was one of the leaders who inspired India for independence. He shaped the fate of India during the seventeen years of his Prime Minister when he was Prime Minister.

He had a silver spoon in his mouth. His father, Pt. Moti Lai Nehru was one of the prominent lawyers of India. He was born in 1889 in Allahabad on 14 November. He was sent to England at the age of 15 for higher studies.

There he enrolled in a public school in Harrow. He then went to Cambridge University where he took his degree in 1910. He then entered law. He came to India and started his practice in Allahabad High Court. He was married at the age of 24 to Mrs. Kamala Devi.

Gone are the days when Gandhiji returned from South Africa. Attracted by the magic of Gandhiji, Zaheer Lai Nehru jumped into politics. He left his practice and joined the non-cooperation movement started by Gandhiji. He was imprisoned several times and became a fearless soldier of the freedom struggle. He was determined to bring freedom to his countrymen and for this he fought fiercely against British rule.

He bore the punishment with joy. Prison life could not crush his spirit. He served as Congress President for four different years before India gained independence. When India became independent, he was elected the first Prime Minister of India.

India made a lot of progress under his guidance. He started the 5 Year Plans and fought against hunger, poverty and unemployment, which were the major problems our country was suffering from. Once the first President of independent India, Dr. Rajendra Prasad had said, “The country is moving forward on the path of progress under the leadership of Jawahar Lai Nehru .”

It shows that Pt. How skilled and dedicated they were. Nehru Indeed, it was he who shaped the destiny of our country. Jawahar Lai Nehru solved some difficult problems of the country as well as the world.

Pt. Nehru was a true lover of peace. So he did not join any of the two super blocks — one belonged to the USA and the other belonged to the USSR. Instead he followed a policy of nonalignment, reflecting his great insight and political understanding. After China attacked India in 1962, he put forward the five principles of Panchsheel for peaceful co-existence.

The attack had a bad effect on his health as he never expected China to prove treacherous. He suffered a heart attack on 27 May 1964 and left the world. His death shocked the whole world.

A top politician Pt. despite of being. Nehru was also a good writer. His ‘My Autobiography’, The Discovery of India ‘, and द The Glimpses of World History’ have gained wide names as fame. He loved children at the core of his heart. The children also loved him with the same instinct and called him ‘Chacha Nehru’. As a token of his love for children, his birthday is celebrated with great enthusiasm every year as Children’s Day.

Pt. Nehru is not among us but his high ideals and principles based on humanity are still alive today. The first and important duty is to follow the path shown by him. This will be his biggest tribute.
